Mini paper pennants are a really cool way to showcase a scrapbook page, or add a little festive flair to a homemade card. Bunting borders are a classic celebration symbol, and when used in a miniature form, that can add a bit of chic playfulness. You can create a really attractive pennant scrapbook border by cutting out triangle shapes out of patterned papers or even washi tape. You can use colored bakers twine to "string" them together on your layout or just glue them next to each other as if they were on a string like our example. Begin by creating a template for your pennant triangle shape. You can make this as big or small as you want to. Cut out a variety of triangles with your XACTO knife or scissors. If you have a triangle paper punch, you can use that as well to make quick work of cutting out triangles for your bunting border. Choose coordinating patterns and color palettes to determine the mood of your project. With a little glue, string or twine, and creative placement, you are well on your way to a beautiful accent piece for your page, scrapbook, or homemade card design.
